The CIO has ultimate responsibility for the quality of the business/technology services relationship. Good relationships are based on trust and facts. Be open to a fault. Eliminate IT-speak and talk about what you want to do. Be proud of your team and market your accomplishments when warranted.
Dave graduated from Stanford University with a B.S. in Mathematical & Computational Sciences and was a walk-on with the Cardinal basketball team. Dave obtained an MBA in Finance & Marketing from Northwestern’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
Dave’s corporate experience includes multiple finance and IT leadership positions at PepsiCo, including CIO Frito-Lay Asia/Pacific, based in Sydney, Australia, and CIO Emerging Markets. He was also former North American CIO and SVP, Integration Services, for Schneider Electric, a $30Bn French company. As an entrepreneur, Dave founded four ventures, including REALFIT, Walk On Films, icHealth and smallCo.
Outside of work, Dave has completed two marathons, countless road races, and climbed Mount Rainier. He is a good golfer, but a terrible putter. He is a member of the leadership council for the North Texas Arthritis Foundation.
